It is played by ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} delilahdraken.Name: Darth Vader, a.k.a Anakin Skywalker What world they came from: Star Wars Birthday (if known): 42 BBY (before Battle of Yavin), date unknown Age: 46 years Species: Human with cybernetic implants Occupation: Dark Lord of the Sith, Supreme Commander of the Imperial Fleet Appearance: He is a 2.02m tall and imposing figure clad in a black armour suit that also functions as a full life support system. Special abilities/talents: Vader is exceptional pilot and mechanic, a strategist and swordsman. He is also a Force user. He can understand binary, the language of droids and other computer systems. Quirks: Vader does not like politicians and bureaucrats. If possible, he avoids lying. One could also describe his as 'too stubborn to die'. Personality: The best way to describe Vader's personality would be either 'tall, dark and deadly' or 'he's a suicidal megalomaniac with a taste for elaborate torture'. Both show different facettes of his character. While he can be temperamental and easy to anger, he also shows great capacity for patience and strategy. In his youth he was for a great part reigned by his emotions, though this character 'flaw' was tempered in his later years. He has a tendency to obsess over his loved ones, as is shown by his destruction of the Jedi temple of Coruscant. Sexual orientation: He has shown so far only heterosexual behaviour. Though as to his habit of obsession, Anakin Skywalker has only 'loved' one person - his wife Padme - and that since he was nine years old. As Darth Vader he has shown no sexual interest in anyone. In the ranks serving under his command there goes a rumour that the Sith lord has no sex drive whatsoever. Reputation: People see him as a very frightening figure. He is the enforcer of Emperor Palpatine, the 'face' of the Empire as he is the one most depicted in the media instead of the reclusive emperor. Those under him see him as a demanding but fair commander. His soldiers trust him for his habit of fighting with them in the front lines. Background Information: About his early years there is not much information, all there is to know is that he lived as a slave in the deserts of Tatooine. At the age of nine, Anakin Skywalker left his home planet Tatooine to become an apprentice to Jedi knight Qui-Gon Jinn. This apprenticeship did not happen, as Jinn was killed during a fight while on the planet Naboo. Jinn's earlier apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi took the mantle of Anakin's master after this. In the following years, Anakin was taught all that a future Jedi knight needs to know from languages to swordfight techniques. When he was nineteen years old, he met again Padme Amidala, former queen of Naboo and now senator, on the planet Coruscant where he and his master were ordered to protect her from an assassin. During this time, which also brought the beginning of the Clone Wars, Anakin and Padme fell in love and later married. At the age on twenty-two years, he left the Jedi to become a Sith. This he did because of a prophetic dream that showed his beloved Padme dying in childbirth. To keep this from happening he became a Sith, changed his name to Darth Vader and destroyed the Jedi temple which resulted in ca. 3000 deaths consisting of mostly young and yet to be trained Jedi students. After this he went on a mission to kill the leaders of a separatist movement which were seen as the enemy in the Clone Wars. This happened on the planet Mustafar, a planet who's geology was extremely unstable and thus was full of vulcanos. Later, he was surprized to find his wife had followed him to this dangerous planet. He proclaimed that he did everything only for her, showing thus the reach of his obsession with her. Padme and Anakin argued about this, but were disturbed by Obi-Wan Kenobi who's hidden on Padme's ship. Feeling betrayed by his wife, Vader choked her into unconsciousness with the Force and began a duel with his former master. Vader lost this duel and was left, with both arms and legs cut off, on the bank of a lava river where he suffered severe burns. A short time later he was found by the newly crowned emperor Palpatine and put into the black armour suit which would become an icon for the Empire. Eightteen years later he learns that his wife did not die on Mustafar as he believed she did, but lived long enough to give birth to his son Luke Skywalker. This started a new wave of obsession for Vader, as he started to send out bounty hunters to find his son who was on his way to become an officer in the Rebel army. The next four years are coloured by civil war and a young Luke Skywalker trying to avoid being captured by Darth Vader, which lead to Vader's temper getting shorter and shorter. In the end, Vader died to protect his son from the emperor, as the galactic leader wanted to kill his son. Heaven or Hell? originally Hell, but Vader didn't like the way Lucifer looked at his son, so he decided to play the game on Heaven's side. | |||||||||
